Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data D' Recyclers Exchange collects, why, who can see it, how long it is kept and the choices you have.

  1. 1. What we collect

    • Account details: name, email, phone, business name, role and preferences.
    • Verification documents you upload for identity or business checks.
    • Listings, buy requests, offers, deals, messages, meeting reports, disputes and support tickets.
    • Addresses for pickup and delivery, which can be shown exactly or approximately as you choose.
    • For shipments: vehicle tracker positions and driver phone positions, plus driver name and phone.
    • Technical data such as sign-in times and device information needed to keep accounts secure.
  2. 2. Why we use it

To run your account, verify users, match materials with buyers, record deals, coordinate transport, show shipment progress and raise safety alerts, handle disputes and support, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

  3. 3. Who can see it

Public listings and open buy requests are visible to everyone. Deal records, messages, meetings, disputes and tracking are visible only to the parties involved and to authorised staff. Verification documents are visible only to you and reviewing staff.

When you create a video meeting with a connected provider (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom), the meeting details are sent to that provider. We do not sell personal data.

  4. 4. Location data

Driver phone tracking runs only during an active trip the driver has joined. Positions may be stored on the phone while offline and uploaded when signal returns. Tracking history is kept with the shipment record for evidence and dispute purposes.

  5. 5. Storage and security

Data is stored with our hosting providers. Files are held in private storage, access is restricted by account and role, and staff access is logged.

  6. 6. How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open, and trade, shipment and dispute records for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and evidence requirements. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

  7. 7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the Nigeria Data Protection Act or the GDPR), you may ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to certain uses. You can manage email preferences in Settings and send other requests through Help & Support.

  8. 8. Changes

We will update the date above when this policy changes. See also our Terms of Service.
